Accessibility

A website for everyone...

My commitment to accessibility is a very important part of everything I do. In designing this website, thoughtful considerations to higher-contrast color schemes and larger screen elements were incorporated to accommodate persons with low vision. Also, during all phases of development and testing, a screen reader and magnifier were active to guarantee 100% compatibility with accessibility tools. This site will automatically detect whether you are using a phone/tablet or a laptop/desktop computer and adjust the website accordingly. For low vision persons… magnifiers will work well with this site because the screen elements are already rendered in a larger size. Therefore, you can reduce the magnification level, which increases the amount of the website visible on your screen (field of view). This also reduces the amount of distortion and pixilation caused by higher magnification. High contrast colors make items easier to discern and read. If you use a color inversion filter, the site will render beautifully. For screen readers… All elements of the site have meaningful and intuitive names. Images are described and used only where necessary. Navigation is achieved through extensive use of hyperlinks. The layout of each page is consistent and logical. If there is something I can improve on, please let me know.
